In the autumn of 2010, the Design.Define.Detroit. collective produced one of the most exciting fashion events in to ever happen in Detroit. The entire team shed true blood, sweat, & tears to a provide a platform to not only showcase local fashion designers, but to unite the entire fashion community & discuss what could be done to turn fashion into a sustainable industry in the city. Some of the panelists includes Motor City Sewing Company leader Sarah Lapinski, City Council President Charles Pugh, Detroit Fashion Week Founder Brian Heath, Fashion Group International of Detroit member Elizabeth Kincaid, and many other prestigious names within the city. Some designers featured are among Femilia Couture, Eugenia Paul, Ziam Penn, & many more! Here is a video compiled by Cierra Mooney on DDD as she interviews the event insiders along with clips of the runway show! Enjoy!
